B. Aggregate. Stone, gravel, and other bits of crushed rock are known as the 'aggregate' in Earth Science, as they are made up of the aggregation of extraneous bits of stone. They are a nonrenewable resource which we rarely think about, but which is utilized for a number of different industries and day-to-activities. It can be man made as well as naturally occurring.
