What is 6% of $34
x=0.06($34)
x=$2.04

6% As a decimal is 0.06. To find out how much tax would be added to the shirt, you must multiply the cost of the shirt by the percentage of tax. 

34 × 0.06 = 2.04

So, the sales tax is $2.04.
