You have 10 coins in a jar, 3 pennies, 5 quarters and two dimes. if you take out 3 quarters, 2 pennies and 2 dimes, how much cents do you have left?

to do this i add them uo and easily subtract woth a hand held calculator

You start with:  5 quarters, 3 pennies, 2 dimes
Remove:         3 Quarter   2 pennies   2 dimes
End with:       2 Quarters 1 penny    0 dimes

=51 cents.
