Hughes was no longer the Prime minister of the Militia due to the fact that he rebelled.

Sam Hughes was the minister of defense and militia in the year 1911. This was following the outbreak of the first world war.

He was known to be an overbearing and stubborn person who resigned from his position after he had issues with the Prime minister Robert Laird.
