Answer : Majorly the VSEPR theory is used to determine the molecular shape of a compound.


It gives us the information about the bond angles in the molecule, which helps us to determine the 3D shape of a molecule.

The movement of bond and the free electrons are shown and the most stable structure is determined on that basis.
