Explain why the word "human" us in " humanism"

The word "human" is in "humanism because it has a connection. The word human is a human being, especially a person distinguished from an animal. And the word " humanism" is a belief that humans needs & values are more important than religious beliefs, or the desires or needs of humans. For example, John Dewey was a strong believer in humanism.
